Job Opening: Project Coordinator
August 10, 2026
The Berkeley Policy Institute (BPI, formerly BRG Institute) was founded by BRG as an independent nonprofit organization to advance knowledge on policy and management through research, publication, and public engagement.
Since establishment in 2015, BPI has conducted research and related engagement in areas such as antitrust, biopharmaceutical innovation, higher education and research and development leadership, international trade, and strategic management.
BPI is led by chair and executive director Dr. David Teece and a board of directors, and runs multiple programs and projects, overseen by project leads. External accounting and legal services support ongoing administration.
At this time, BPI is searching for a Project Coordinator, on a part-time, consulting basis, to handle a diverse array of administrative and programmatic elements to maintain and expand the organization’s exciting trajectory as a research organization.

Consult and guide the board of directors in scheduling, coordinating, and documenting board meetings and follow-ups, along with regular financial summaries.
Be the administrative core and public face of the Institute to external audiences.
On occasion, handle special projects such as coordinating small and medium events (workshops, lectures, dinners), and record video testimonials or similar content via Zoom or Teams.

Strong organization, communication, and time-management skills.
Experience with project coordination or administrative support.
Ability to accurately and promptly work on invoicing and payments, keeping all confidential payment details secure and confidential.
